Dissertation in brief: • Cancer is the collective name for a number of dead full diseases characterized by uncontrolled proliferation of cells in the body. A group of chemicals which cause cancer in animals and humans are called carcinogens. In the present study, we investigated the effect of carcinogenicity of Acrylamide in rat testicular system. • Forty eight albino rats were equally divided into eight groups including control(C), positive control (PC), and intra peritoneal injections of acrylamide were given. Micronucleus assay was conducted in blood, bone marrow and spermatid cells to evaluate the carcinogenicity of Acrylamide. • Isolation, quantification, fractionation, electroellution and restriction digestion analysis of DNA were conducted to analyze the degree of DNA damage in testicular cells by performing Restriction digestion analysis using Bam- HI and Hind-III, showed increased dose dependant damage of DNA with Acrylamide. • Enzyme Assay of Glutathione-S- transferase and Glutathione peroxidase were conducted to assess the protective strategy of testicular system agonist the Acrylamide stress. Conclusions: The present study results clearly demonstrate that the chronic exposure of Acrylamide leads to chromosomal abnormalities in somatic and germ cells due to DNA damage may lead to cancerous and failure of cellular defensive systems causes death in the individuals. Research Finding Determine the Clustogenicity and carcinogenicity of Acrylamide for somatic and germ cell of rats.
