Аннотация Objective: To study the opinion of citizens of the Russian federation (citizens of Saratov) according to population census. Materials and methods: There were interviewed 307 persons (residents of the city of Saratov). Sociological and statistical methods of research were used. Results: The most common way of participation in the census is filling rewriter questionnaire at home. The main reason for non-participation in the census is the insufficient number of enumerators. Conclusion: Saratov citizens have a positive attitude towards the census of the population and consider it as a necessary event. There was no single opinion revealed on the way of conducting of the next population census
