Synthesis and fungicidal activity of novel 5-aryl-4-methyl-3yl (imidazolidin-1yl methyl, 2-ylidene nitro imine) isoxazoles

Аннотация Aims: In the history of the drug discovery there are several tremendous increases are occurring on day by day for the drug resistant pathogens, leading to the drug design and Various novel nitro isoxazole imine imidazole derivatives have been prepared to study on the basis of pharmacological activities in drug discovery. Methods: The synthesis of biologically active 5-aryl-4-methyl-3yl-(Imidazolidin-1yl methyl, 2-ylidene nitro imine) isoxazoles (6aek) starting from 1-phenyl-propan-1-one (1) are presented in this paper. Results: These compounds (6aek) show anti and antifungal activities when compared with standard drug clotrimazole and 1H NMR and mass spectrum. The compounds 6b, 6c, 6d, 6f, 6g, 6h, 6i, 6j, 6k (having the halogen, methoxy groups) have shown good anti-fungicidal activity within the series of compounds synthesized. Conclusion: Hence these compounds shall be exploited further for fungicidal, anti bacterial activity to attain a potential pharmacophore.
