Аннотация The present article is devoted to problems of functioning of travel business in Russia, on the basis of a real social and economic situation taking into account actual problems for domestic economy. Object of studying – tourist branch of domestic economy, a studying subject – dynamics of its development, the work purpose – the analysis of degree of correlation of problems of branch, the main indicators of development and ways of increase of effici-ency of its functioning. When writing article the didactic method and a method of the quantitative analysis were applied. On the basis of the analysis of development of tourist branch of the country from 2000 to 2015 the main disproportions of branch, its painful points are revealed, the assessment of opportunities of its development in a crisis situation and influences on domestic economy in general is given, recommendations are submitted. Article is intended for heads and specialists of travel companies, representatives of bodies of the public and municipal administration, researchers specializing on studying of world and regional economy, and also branch economy.
