Аннотация This article is devoted to three main questions. The first one uncovers the concept of "society". Its appropriateness refers to statement, according to which contemporary sociology deals with problem of gnosiological legitimacy of concept of "society". In accordence with author’s position, the content of this concept includes everything that, what is common for people and unites them in that state in which thay exist. This is environment, personality, culture (material and spiritual) and network structures. The second question shows the place of social aspects in society. Besides, three characteristics of society components are considered: nature of origin, logic of existence and degree of dependence. The third question describes prevailing role of environment in society’s life.
