Аннотация The paper contains a review of basic directions of scientific research of Saratov physicians in 1953-1985, foundation of new laboratories, clinics and research centres. Particular novelty of the publication resides in the data reflecting the condition of health services of Saratov virgin lands workers and materials on development of Saratov stomatology in 1960 - first half of the1980’s. Along with other sources of information, archival materials and the data of Saratov local press of those years have been used in our work.
