1) Development of membrane based optical chemical sensors (optodes) for heavy metal ions preconcentration and quantification from various environmental samples.

2) Preconcentration and quantification of heavy metal ions in environmental samples using pore-functionalized polymer membranes (or) grafted membranes.

3) Hydrogels for toxic metal analysis

4) Monitoring of heavy metal ions by developing cation exchange membranes embedded with inorganic nano particles.
