Dr Anand Sudhakar Burange was born in Morshi, Amravati,
Maharashtra, India in 1986. He received his master’s degree in
Chemistry from Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, India.
In 2008 he joined for Ph.D. at the Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai, India with Prof. R. V. Jayaram and received
a UGC Green-tech fellowship.During his research tenure, he worked on the application of metal oxide based catalysts in organic transformations and in photocatalysis. Then, he joined Johnson Matthey Catalyst Company, Taloja, India where he worked on supported noble metal catalysis, deprotection of protected drugs and other high pressure reactions. Currently he is working, with Dr C. S. Gopinath’s research group, as a Research
Associate at the National Chemical Laboratory, Pune, India in the
surface science and catalysis arena. His research interests focus on exploration of new materials as catalysts in value added organic transformations, surface science and photo-catalysis
