We are looking for a reliable, committed and talented scientist to join the Experimental Vaccine Group. This is part of a multi-centre team funded by BBSRC, DEFRA and Pfizer Animal Health.
The project will use genome sequencing and transposon mutagenesis of porcine Mycoplasma species to identify target antigens for inclusion in novel vaccines and diagnostic tools for use in farm livestock. You should preferably be an experienced microbiologist with a strong interest in functional genomics and the molecular basis of bacterial pathogenicity. Work with livestock and post-mortem investigations will complement the laboratory-based investigations.
