You will be responsible for delivering the data on a Morris Animal Foundation grant with the title: Inflammatory Bowel Disease in German Shepherd Dogs (GSD): Enteral Bacteria and Innate Immunity. The purpose of the project is to test whether certain mutations in Toll like receptors in GSD have a functional impact. To achieve the project objectives, you will be expected to perform cell culture, bacterial cultures, PCR, real-time RT-PCR, ELISA and Western Blot assays independently. Samples will be taken from clinical cases seen at the QMHA and working hours will need to be flexible to accommodate sampling of clinical cases.
