This is a Proof-of-Concept project funded by the Centre for Defence Enterprise, developing a new electrochemical sensor-platform for the detection of biological threats.
The post holder will work to develop and assess prototype sensors using model bacteria, and exploit a range of biomedical engineering, analytical, electrochemical and microbial techniques during the development process.
The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and enthusiastic and be able to work independently to a high analytical standard. With a successfully completed PhD or equivalent in a relate subject (chemistry/analytical science/electrochemistry/immunochemistry/biochemistry/microbiology). The ideal candidate will have expertise in electrochemical and/or microbiological techniques

This project is funded for 3 months, to start immediately.
