Аннотация The given research concerns the analysis of a phenomenon of music in A. Schopenhauer's metaphysics. The article describes the historical, philosophical and metaphysical characteristics, the cosmological understanding of the moments of musical art, and the role of music in global human culture, in A. Schopenhauer's works. The symbolical side of interpretation of music is analyzed as equivalent of the «world will». (article is published in Russian).
