Аннотация This paper outlines the necessity of defining the level of financial potential of Ukrainian steel enterprises as a factor in preventing their financial insolvency. The selection of financial potential indexes of the companies in this industry as the representative of its quantitative characteristics is being justified. The levels of the financial potential of the Ukrainian steel enterprises were defined with the usage of neuronet technologies. The rules of enterprise perspective insolvency levels classification were designed based on the combination of the inner factors of enterprises financial activity and the environmental factors. Such an approach provides the evaluation of the enterprises insolvency, taking into account its current state and the reserves for restoring financial stability.
